Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 9, 2026

AMLabs Studio ("we," "us," or "our") operates the USCIS Case Tracker mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.

This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • USCIS Receipt Numbers: You enter these to track your case. These are stored securely in our database and encrypted at rest.
  • Case Labels: Optional nicknames you assign to cases (e.g., "My Green Card").

Information Collected Automatically

  • Anonymous User ID: We generate a random, anonymous identifier for each app installation. This is not linked to your name, email, or any personally identifiable information.
  • Push Token: Your device's push notification token, used solely to deliver status change notifications to your device.
  • App Usage Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized data about app usage (e.g., which screens are visited, how often cases are added). This data cannot be used to identify you.
  • Crash Reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymized crash reports to improve app stability.
  • Device Identifiers: Google AdMob may collect device advertising identifiers (GAID/IDFA) to serve personalized advertisements. See Section 5 for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To fetch and display your USCIS case status from the official USCIS API
  • To send push notifications when your case status changes
  • To store your case history so you can review past status changes
  • To improve app performance and fix bugs (via anonymized analytics and crash reports)
  • To serve non-personalized or personalized advertisements (via Google AdMob)

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure (hosted on AWS), protected by:

  • Encryption at rest (AES-256)
  • Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3)
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring each user can only access their own data
  • Anonymous authentication — your cases are never linked to your name, email address, or phone number

We retain your case data as long as you use the App. If you delete a case or uninstall the App, your data is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your information to third parties. We may share data only in these circumstances:

  • USCIS API: Your receipt number is sent to the official USCIS Torch API to retrieve your case status. This is the core function of the App.
  • Service Providers: We use Supabase (database), Firebase (analytics/crash reporting), and Google AdMob (advertising). Each is subject to their own privacy policy.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android) to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your device settings:

  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
  • iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking → toggle off for this app

For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Deletion: Request deletion of all your data from our servers
  • Opt-out: Disable personalized ads via device settings
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@amlabsstudio.com.

8. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@amlabsstudio.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
